What is at stake in psychoanalysis is not reality, but truth.

MY PRACTICE

For more than two decades, I have been committed to psychoanalytic practice and to working with the singular experience of each individual. Many people begin this process in moments of struggle - facing indecision, transitions, uncertainty, barriers or painful repetitions. Through consistent and thoughtful work, these very experiences often come to be encountered in new and unexpected ways. Narratives shift, truths are named, and personal as well as cultural histories reexamined. Conflicts and patterns that once shaped symptoms are brought into awareness and transformed, opening entirely new possibilities for how life can be lived.

Over the course of this work, you may come to experience greater freedom, deeper connections, enhanced reflection and creativity, a more enduring capacity to act on your own behalf and an increased tolerance for uncertainty - even to welcome an open future. Like any meaningful practice, psychoanalytic work requires time and commitment, which together form the foundation for lasting change.

SERVICES

I provide psychotherapy and psychoanalysis for adolescents and adults, as well as couples therapy. My experience spans a wide range of clinical settings - private practice, inpatient psychiatric, outpatient mental health and school-based work - and I have worked with individuals from diverse racial, ethnic, socio-cultural and economic backgrounds. I work with many forms of struggle, including depression, anxiety, loss, relationship difficulty, life transitions, trauma, immigration-related concerns, reproductive challenges and questions surrounding gender and sexuality.
